The wife had a TJ. Now it's mine, since she just got a shiny new Suburban LT.
What it had when I bought it:
- 2000 Jeep Wrangler TJ Sport 4.0
- Trac-Loc in the rear factory Dana 44 Axle
- 30x9.50x15 Goodyear Wrangler AT tires
- 15x8 polished Aluminum Wheels
- Dana 30 Front axle (open)
- 3.73 Gears
- NP231 xfer case
- NV3550 manual transmission
- Factory CD Player w/soundbar
- Factory A/C
- Factory Tow Hooks
As you can see, we bought it loaded. We had to wait 3 months to get it, because it was a special order with the Dana 44 option.
Repairs and/or Modifications I've made
This is what we did to it when we first got it:
- Installed SuperLift 4" Spring Lift
- Installed Sway Bar Quick Disconnects
- Upgraded to American Racing AE589 15x8 Polished Aluminum Wheels
- Replaced tires with 32x11.50x15 BFG MT's
- Installed nice Grill Guard
- Installed Radio Shack CB w/K-40 fiberglass whip antenna
- Installed new front tow hooks
Since then I've done a little more:
- Teraflex 4" spring lift with lower control arms
- 1" DayStar body lift
- Rear Currie bumper with Spare Tire Carrier
- Currie Slip-Yoke Eliminator
- Currie Rear CV Driveshaft
- Currie 1" Motor Lift
- Currie AnitRock sway bar
- Currie Steering box skid plate
- 4.88 Gears
- Detroit Lockers front and rear
- Ward HD Axle Shaft upgrade for front Dana 30
- Forged 760x U-Joints in front (40% stronger than stock 297x u-joints)
- Sun Performance rocker panels
- Kilby On Board Air mounting kit w/serpentine clutch
- York 10CFM compressor
- Summit Racing 2.5 Gallon Air Tank
- 35" Goodyear Wrangler MT/R tires
- Goferrit Off Road HD tie rod
- Cobra 148 GTL SSB/AM CB Radio
- Teraflex CB Antenna Mount
- Overhead CB mount (mounts to windshield frame)
- Flowmaster 40 Series muffler w/high flow 2.5" cat
- Custom rock lights
- Warn HS9500i Winch
- Cobra 148 GTL SSB CB radio
- Rancho RS5000 shocks
Things that have broken:
- I bent the stock tie-rod
- I bent the Goferit Offroad aftermarket tie rod
- I crunched the muffler
- I broke the rear Currie tire carrier
- I cut a tire at Los Coyotes
- I damaged the driver's door badly enough to not be able to open the window
- I rolled it
- The factory CD player gave up the ghost
